Opening city by city · Free at launch

Open-minded people deserve an app that respects the word no.

PolySwing is a free app for couples and singles exploring ethical non-monogamy — where your boundaries are enforced by the software, verification is real, and reporting someone gets them investigated, not you.

Their boundaries

Couples onlyVerified onlyNo unsolicited photos

Message blocked. They're open to couples only — so this never reached them, and they never had to see it.

Why we exist

You've already tried the others.

We read thousands of posts from people leaving the apps that already exist. The same six complaints came up over and over — so we built the whole product around fixing exactly those.

  • On any given day I'm getting five to ten unsolicited sexts. I just stopped opening it.

A woman on why she left

  • I reported someone for harassment and the app suspended me instead of him.

    On moderation

  • It logged me out and won't send the login email. Three weeks, no reply from support.

    On reliability

  • Free accounts can barely do anything. You can't even see who liked you.

    On paywalls

  • There's no one site that works everywhere. We pay for three memberships.

    On coverage

  • Verification is a photo of you holding a handwritten sign. That stops nobody.

    On trust

Paraphrased from public forum posts about other apps in this space. They're not reviews of PolySwing — they're the brief we built to.

How it works

Six fixes, one app.

The big one

Boundaries that actually hold

Set who can reach you — couples only, verified only, no unsolicited photos — and we enforce it at the door. Not a line in your bio nobody reads. The message never arrives, and you never have to see it.

Trust

Verification you can't fake

A short liveness check: your camera, a phrase on screen, ten seconds. Matched to your photos, never shown to anyone, deleted after review. No driver's licence, no passport, no permanent copy of your face.

Safety

We investigate them, not you

Report someone and a trained human reviews it — with the receipts. Reporters don't get auto-suspended for reporting. You get told what happened. Every time.

Privacy

Messaging worth leaving Kik for

Encrypted chat, disappearing photos, screenshot alerts, and a one-tap panic hide. Notification previews are off by default and the icon can be disguised. Nobody has to know what's on your phone.

Couples

Together, properly

Link your partners without merging into one account. Everyone keeps their own profile, their own chats, and their own no. One person's upgrade covers the whole link — no paying twice for the same thing.

Reach

One app, every city

Real distance search, not a dropdown of nine popular metros. Clubs, events, and travel mode built in — so you're not juggling three subscriptions to cover the country.

Safety

The reason women leave these apps is the reason we built this one.

Every app in this category says it takes safety seriously. Then it auto-bans the person who filed the report because an algorithm found it cheaper. We made the opposite trade on purpose — humans review reports, and it costs us more.

“I reported an incident and became the one who got blocked.”
The failure mode we designed against, in a user's own words
  • Nothing reaches you that you didn't allow

Boundary filters are enforced server-side, before delivery. Unsolicited photos are blocked at upload, not blurred after you've already seen them.

  • Reports go to people, not a classifier

A trained reviewer reads it, looks at the history, and writes back with the outcome. Filing a report can never get you actioned.

  • Your face is checked, then forgotten

The liveness clip is reviewed and deleted. We keep a yes/no, not a biometric file, and never the government ID other apps now demand.

  • Discretion by default

Notification previews off, photos blurred pre-match, a disguisable icon, and one-tap panic hide. You shouldn't need a burner phone for this.

Straight answers.

Is it really free?

Yes — and specifically, the parts other apps charge for are free here: messaging, seeing who liked you, matching, and events. We'll eventually sell optional extras like travel mode and profile boosts. We will never paywall your inbox, and there's no auto-renewing subscription switched on by default.

How do you make money then?

Optional paid extras, and partnerships with clubs and event organisers who want to be discoverable. That's it. We're not selling your data — not to advertisers, not to data brokers, not to anyone. If that ever changes you'll hear it from us first, in plain language.

What stops this filling up with single men like everywhere else?

Enforcement, not vibes. Every profile sets who can contact them, and the app blocks the rest before the message is ever sent. Single men are welcome — the ones who respect a no will do fine here, and for the first time they'll actually know where they stand instead of shouting into a void.

Do I have to show my face?

No. Verification is private — the liveness check is reviewed and deleted, never shown on your profile. Your photos stay blurred until you both match, and you choose what's visible and to whom. Verified status shows; your face only shows if you decide it does.

Will anyone I know find me on here?

We're building block-by-contacts so you can pre-emptively hide from anyone in your phonebook, notification previews are off by default, and the app icon can be disguised. No app can promise perfect invisibility — anyone who's on it can see people who are on it — but we've removed every accidental way of being outed that we could find.

When does it launch?

We're opening city by city so nobody lands in an empty app — the thing that kills every new app in this space. Join the list and we'll email you the moment yours has enough people to be worth your time. No spam in between.

Be there when your city opens.

We open one city at a time, so nobody arrives to an empty room. Tell us where to find you and we'll say hello when it's ready.
