What people complain about — and how the app answers each.

Research-backed pain points from Kasidie, Feeld and SDC users, mapped to the design decisions behind PolySwing. We didn't guess at these — we read what people actually said before we designed anything.

    Kasidie feels dated and is web-only

    A social network built in the 2000s, with no native mobile app at all.

    A modern, mobile-first native app — designed for a phone, not a desktop from 2008.

    Everything's paywalled

    On Kasidie and Feeld the free tier is effectively a spectator account. You can't even see who liked you.

    Messaging, matching, events and verification are all free. An optional PolySwing+ adds travel and reach — never core features.

    Fake profiles and bots

    Scam accounts and catfishing are the most common reason people stop trusting a platform.

    A verified-only community: a selfie liveness check, and a green badge that means something.

    Harassment and unsolicited DMs

    The single loudest complaint from women on Feeld — explicit messages from strangers, arriving uninvited.

    Consent-first connection requests. Nobody can message you until you accept. The message doesn't arrive and then get hidden — it never arrives.

    Single-man flood and imbalance

    So severe that r/SwingersR4R wrote it into the subreddit rules, because no app enforces it.

    A balanced, vouched community with couple-controlled visibility.

    Privacy fears

    Being seen by a colleague, a family member, or anyone scrolling past your phone at the wrong moment.

    Incognito browsing, per-person private album access, and screenshot alerts.

    Vanilla dilution and low quality

    Growth-at-all-costs marketing pulls in people who aren't actually looking for what you're looking for.

    Intent, experience and boundary tags, so people find their real match instead of scrolling past it.

    Dead regions — a waiting room

    Coverage is regional, so users pay for two or three memberships and still find nobody nearby.

    Events and travel mode, to concentrate real activity where it's otherwise thin.
